BSc (Hons) in Financial Services and Associateship

Overview

Whether you are in, or aspiring to, a middle or senior management position, a BSc/Associateship will provide you with the expert knowledge and skills required to enhance your career prospects. The programme is relevant and practical and allows students to follow either a specialist or more generalist route, depending on their learning requirements.

The degree is assessed at UK undergraduate level.

Time limit

You have a time limit of 6 years from your first BSc/Associateship registration to complete the qualification. You will not be allowed to re-register for the qualification if you do not complete within this time limit.

Study time

You are advised that each module requires approximately 300 hours study time. Each course of study allows for 20 weeks of tuition support.

Studying

On registration all students will receive the following:

  • module textbook
  • study plan
  • assignments

Assessment

Core modules comprise 2 assessment components:

  • a 3-hour written examination (70% of overall mark)
  • 1 coursework assignment (30% of overall mark)

Option modules comprise 1 assessment component: a 3-hour written examination.

Specialist degrees

To obtain the generic BSc (Hons) in financial Services and Associateship, students must complete the 4 compulsory modules and any 4 option modules.

Alternatively, students may obtained the degree in a named specialism by completing the 4 compulsory modules and 4 option modules from the relevant stream: specialist streams table (PDF)
