Applied Diploma in Risk and Insurance Management (Applied DFSM® - Risk and Insurance)

Please note this qualification has been replaced by the Professional Certificate in Banking, and is no longer open to registration. The programme remains in place for existing students. Please see the transitional arrangements for further details.

The Applied Diploma in Risk and Insurance Management (Applied DFSM® – Risk and Insurance) combines relevant foundation knowledge in financial services with specialist skills in risk and insurance management.

Fully awarded and examined by the ifs School of Finance, the diploma will give you the skills and knowledge to further your career.

The Applied DFSM® – Risk and Insurance builds upon your existing qualifications in insurance and develops your knowledge and skills in financial services management. You will have the opportunity to examine a variety of topics, which will include introducing you to the principles of organisational structure and management; an introduction to the financial services environment; the importance of understanding customers and their differing needs; and the monitoring of financial and non-financial objectives.

The Diploma is assessed at first year UK undergraduate degree Level 4

Cost

The cost of each module depends on the study method you select. Details of prices are given on each module page.

During your studies you are required to be a member of the ifs. The membership fee is currently £98 (£49.00 after 1 July).

Modules

To achieve the Applied DFSM® – Risk and Insurance you can choose from 2 routes:

Route 1

If you are a holder of the Certificate in Insurance Practice (CIP) or Diploma in Insurance then you need to complete the compulsory module and 2 option modules.

Route 2

If you are a holder of the ACII or CII's Advanced Diploma in Insurance then you need to complete the compulsory module and 1 option module.

Studying
