ifs Scholarships

A number of first year scholarships are available to recognise and reward high academic achievement by students who have already studied with the ifs School of Finance.  These are awarded upon commencement of studies in the first semester to the highest achieving students of ifs  Certificate and Diploma in Financial Studies qualifications.

At years 2 and 3 further scholarships are available to recognise and reward high academic achievement in the preceding academic year.

Across all undergraduate ifs programmes

At year 1 to recognise and reward high academic achievement by students who have already studied, and to encourage continued study, with the ifs School of Finance.

A maximum of five one-off scholarships of £1,000 each to be awarded upon commencement of studies in the first semester to the highest achieving students of CeFS and DipFS qualifications who:

  • achieve a minimum grade of A for their CeFS assessment and
  • achieve the highest aggregated marks for their DipFS assessments.

For each undergraduate programme

At years 2 and 3 to recognise and reward high academic achievement in the preceding academic year:

A maximum of one one-off scholarship of £1,000 to be awarded after the Module Assessment Board of the second semester of the relevant year of study to the outstanding student of each of the programmes who:

  • achieve a distinction (pass with a mark of 70% or more) in no less that three of the four modules studied in the preceding year; and
  • is one of the two strongest performing students in the cohort for the relevant year of study.

A maximum of one one-off award of £1,000 will also be made to reward academic achievement in years 1 and 2 within assessed activities that do not contribute to the grade achieved by the student for each undergraduate programme.  This will support student commitment to syllabus content that does not form part of the formal programme assessment elements. As the programme is further developed specific criteria for the award of these awards will be established.

Please Note: Scholarships are awarded automatically by the ifs  - no application is required
