Grants and loans

Government grants and loans can help to cover student tuition fees and living costs. Financial support and applications are available for students from the UK, Northern Ireland, Scotland, Wales and EU countries.

  • Tuition fee loan  - Covers your full tuition fees and is paid directly to the learning provider which means you will not have to pay the tuition fee prior your studies commencing or during your course
  • Maintenance loan – Students can apply for a further loan to assist with living costs, the final amount will depend on your household income.
  • Maintenance grant  - A means tested non-repayable grant of up to £3,250 per year is available for eligible students from lower-income backgrounds.

Additional support is available to disabled students, those facing financial hardship, single parents and those with children or adult dependents.
