London, U.K.,  5th January, 2010: The ifs School of Finance is pleased to announce that one of the UK’s leading independent mortgage brokers, Savills Private Finance, is to offer all its mortgage brokers the opportunity to qualify for its Advanced Certificate in Mortgage Advice & Practice (Adv CeMAP®).

Advanced CeMAP® enables all holders of CeMAP® (or equivalent) to expand their technical knowledge and skills. The qualification includes modules such as: "Supervising in a Regulated Environment", "Alternative Residential Lending" and "Equity Release".

Ian Meadows, Training & Competence Manager at Savills Private Finance, said:

“The mortgage advice market has an excellent and well established benchmark qualification in CeMAP®, a qualification that is integral to the mortgage industry. We decided to give our advisers the option to advance their skills further by offering them the Advanced CeMAP® qualification from the ifs. Fostering a culture of continual learning that develops our people is important to us an organisation and also helps to ensure that our clients continue to have confidence that our advisers are giving advice from a position of significant knowledge and competence.”

Anne Kiem, Vice Principal at the ifs School of Finance, said:

“A broader and more sophisticated product together with increasing regulations means there is now more demand among consumers for highly specialised mortgage advice. The ifs has a long-standing pedigree in developing benchmark qualifications in this area, having set the standard for applying the Mortgage Code with its CeMAP® qualification. We are proud to be at the forefront in designing and continually developing our qualifications to ensure they equip today's adviser with the knowledge and skills they require to serve the needs of their clients.”
