The ifs School of Finance is internationally recognised for its expertise in financial services education provision. Established in 1879 as the Institute of Bankers, today the ifs is the leading provider of financial education to professionals, offering relevant qualifications from GCSE to Master’s level. To consolidate this position and following a move to a prestigious new City campus, the ifs School of Finance is looking to recruit to the following positions.

Visiting Lectureships in Financial Services Risk Management and Marketing, London
Tenable from June 2009

Visiting lecturing opportunities have arisen within the postgraduate area. Applicants should have a PhD or be close to completion and have demonstrable potential to publish at an international level. These roles call for both financial services and teaching experience, so applicants in either financial services or higher education are welcome. Depending on the specialist interests and background of the successful candidate, the responsibilities for both areas may be undertaken by a single individual and/or opportunities for teaching on the ifs' undergraduate programmes may be offered to the right candidate, if interested. Experience of distance learning, part-time or international programmes is desirable, but not essential.

ifs is an equal opportunities employer and is keen to encourage applications from as wide a range of candidates as possible. Therefore these opportunities are being offered to fit a range of flexible working patterns (subject to negotiation and the requirements of term-time teaching and assessment). The remuneration offered will be in line with the standard hourly lecturing rates.
