Our HE Faculty
The lecturers, examiners and authors of the ifs School of Finance Academic Community are qualified to the highest levels.
ifs Academic staff are committed to enhancing the student experience and to supporting research and development initiatives in their specialist fields.
The Senior Faculty comprises a focal point for the ifs academic community, supporting academic leadership through the development of scholarly activity, close engagement with the review of ifs academic provision and direct contribution to the continuous enhancement of ifs HE programmes. The Senior Faculty brings together a mix of experience across academic roles, subject disciplines, practitioner experience, and deliberative committee membership.
The Faculty also plays a leading role in development and delivery of ifs PHE Conferences and supports academic community development through provision of advice on academic appointments.
The ifs also has its own Postgraduate Certificate in Higher Education (PGCHE) as its foremost means of developing and enhancing its academic community. The PGCHE is the benchmark learning and teaching qualification in Higher Education, and the ifs PGCHE is currently the only qualification of its kind to have a subject specialism in banking and finance. The ifs PGCHE is open to the entire academic community, and to external applicants.
Lecturers and examiners at the ifs are actively encouraged to develop their learning and teaching practice, through the PGCHE and through gaining Fellowship status at the Higher Education Academy. All members of the ifs academic community are expected to commit to CPD, and to have appropriate accreditation to teach and support our students.
