Colours and sizes: Making things easier to see

To make text bigger or smaller

If you want to make the font on ifs websites bigger then you can do this in most web browsers (like Internet Explorer) as follows:

To make text bigger: press and hold the CTRL key and then press the + key.

To make text smaller: press and hold the CTRL key and then press the - key.

To make text go back to its normal size: press and hold the CTRL key and then press the 0 (zero) key.

To make colours easier to see

If you want to make the colours on your computer easier to see then you can set your computer to use high contrast colours.

To make text easier to read

If you want to make the text on your screen easier to read then you can change how your computer shows writing on the screen.

Zoom in to bits of your screen

You can set your computer to zoom in to your screen like a magnifying glass.  This can make it easier to read text and see pictures whichmight be too small for you to see comfortably.
