Adult qualifications Details Page

Britain's personal debt is increasing by £1 million every 4 minutes. Sixty per cent of Britons have no idea how much they spend in a week and record numbers are facing bankruptcy daily.

The ifs School of Finance has created a range of qualifications that will enable individuals to develop the key life skill of managing their finances efficiently.

The financial needs of individuals are many and varied, and will change as they progress through life. Our programmes are therefore designed flexibly around a core unit that introduces the key concepts and a range of optional units covering a variety of topical areas in personal financial planning.

The ifs currently offers 2 personal finance qualifications designed for adults:

If you are from an institution planning to deliver one or both of the programmes please register your interest.

The Open University provides a course appropriate for teachers of Financial Capability qualifications. If you are planning to teach, or are teaching, any of our qualifications then please visit the 'You and your money: personal finance in context' page for more information.
