ifs e-test™ electronic assessment delivery system

What is ifs e-test™?

ifs e-test™ is the electronic assessment system for multiple-choice examinations developed by the ifs School of Finance. ifs e-test™ has been designed to combine ease of use and the highest levels of security with minimal demand on system resources. It allows your students to take examinations within a controlled environment at times convenient to both you and them.

As far as being a tutor is concerned I believe that e-testing is a significant step forward for the CeFS & DipFS qualifications.

Who is ifs e-test™ for?

If your school/college runs the ifs' Financial Capability qualifications then you could benefit from the flexibility offered by ifs e-test™.

How can ifs e-test™ benefit your school/college?

The examinations can be delivered at any secure location within your premises
Flexible examination times - you can arrange a date and time convenient for your students
Speed of results - the system enables you to give your students their results, with feedback, at the end of the examination

How does ifs e-test™ work?

The ifs e-test™ software comprises 2 elements: an administration suite and the assessment software.

The administration suite allows the Examinations Officer to choose the specific examination that students will sit, and to set the examination date. The system provides flexibility around examination scheduling to best meet your needs, and this administration process can be handled from anywhere in your network. ifs e-test™ will run on low-specification servers and the software has been designed to 'lock down' any other applications, preventing any service interruption.

Once the assessment software is loaded on individual workstations/PCs, examinations can be downloaded for any number of students. It is not necessary for all the students in an examination session to be taking the same examination. ifs e-test™ allows students to choose between using a mouse or keyboard to navigate through their examination.

At the end of the examination session the system calculates the marks and the results are available to be printed as soon as the examination is completed. The results should then be uploaded to the ifs via a secure link, at which point they are available online through our secure website.
