John has had a wide and varied career in financial services culminating in the successful design and launch of Premier Mortgage Service in 1996. Prior to that he spent 15 years on the sales and marketing side at FS Assurance, and thereafter was Managing Director of financial services for Slater Hogg & Howison, Scotland's largest estate agents which had been purchased by TSB Scotland in 1998.

George was appointed Senior Economic Advisor in 2004, following a seven-year spell as the Chief Economist.Widely credited with having identified the trigger points leading to the financial crisis and its aftermath,his opinions and predictions are keenly sought.His first book,The Age of Aging (2008) considered the economic and social consequences of rapid aging.His new book, Uprising, looks at emerging markets in the wake of the crisis.

Speaker: Mark Lyonette, Chief Executive, Association of British Credit Unions

Mark has been with the Association of British Credit Unions Limited (ABCUL) for fourteen years; the last seven of them as Chief Executive. He has been closely associated with many of the reforms in the British credit union sector in recent years including the arrival of new enabling legislation for the sector in 2011. He was a member of the HM Treasury Financial Inclusion Taskforce from 2004 till it ended in March 2011.
