• Individuals joining between 1 January and 30 June the full annual subscription.
• Individuals joining between 1 July and 31 December you are required to pay half of the annual subscription. 
• Individuals joining on or after 31 August and paying by direct debit pay no subscription fee for that year (applies to UK bank account holders only). The following year's subscription will be deducted in February. Please note the ifs is unable to accept  direct debit payments from overseas bank accounts or credit cards.

Annual subscriptions are due on 1 January and must be paid in full by 1 March. If your fee remains unpaid after this date your membership will be suspended. Tax relief may be available to members paying United Kingdom income tax under section S344 ITEPA 2003. You should contact your personal  Tax Division for details.

Applications can be made at any time. Deadlines do apply, however, if you are enrolling on a particular course and it is the candidate's responsibility to ensure they meet the relevant registration requirements.
