A review of your career to date can have the added benefits of highlighting issues that need addressing within the workplace. This allows you to explore personal development and other career options and set personal goals.

Career management support

The ifs, in partnership with Margaret Martin Associates, a provider of career management support, has designed a specific range of programmes aimed at helping alumni members to take control of and manage their career and personal development.

Career evenings

The ifs runs career evenings throughout the year exclusively for its alumni members.  Those who attend can pick up valuable careers advice and guidance on everything from improving interview techniques through to putting together the perfect CV.

Coaching service

Access to personal coaches is available at www.coachingformore.co.uk  where you can choose your coach based on bibliography and contact details. The contract is between you and the coach and you contact the coach and agree a time to talk. The service is at a uniform rate of £675.00 plus VAT and each coaching session usually lasts a morning or afternoon. You may also need to pay the coach's travel costs. A business coaching relationship will usually last for half a dozen sessions, more if the chemistry between the coach and you is really working, but one or two sessions are possible.
