Adviser Membership of the Institute of Financial Services is a dedicated membership category for financial and mortgage advisers.
The FSA's Retail Distribution Review will have significant impact upon financial advisers. Adviser Membership has been designed to provide access to benefits that address the very specific needs of the financial and mortgage adviser community, especially in respect of the RDR recommendations, and it is now available for as little as £5 per month.
One of RDR's key objectives is to deliver standards of professionalism that inspire consumer confidence and build trust. To help achieve this, all Adviser Members have access to the ifs' online Continuing Professional Development (CPD) programme, myCPD, included as part of their membership package. Undertaking CPD demonstrates commitment to developing professionalism and reassures consumers that your knowledge remains relevant.
Adviser Membership can benefit you by:
- ensuring you are fully informed on the aims and objectives of the RDR through a dedicated e-news publication and a variety of online information services
- providing a sophisticated online Continuing Professional Development (CPD) solution to log your development
- giving you formal recognition of your ongoing development via a dedicated online CPD register on the ifs website
- providing reassurance to customers that you are committed to following a framework of guiding principles that demonstrate professionalism and are aimed at building trust and confidence
- giving you direct association with a widely recognised professional body with a history dating back 130 years
Adviser Membership is available for an annual subscription of £60.00. If paying by direct debit you can spread your annual subscription fee over twelve monthly instalments of just £5.00 each.
